Overview
A photography studio and cosplay event space in an industrial building at 30 Lorong Ampas. The owner acquired two consecutive floors: the lower floor holds a seamless photography studio with exhibition and event areas, and the upper floor houses live-streaming studios.
The design concept centres on flexibility and function, creating a studio environment for photography, live streaming, exhibitions and cosplay events that accommodates frequent scene changes, large equipment movement and high visitor flow. The project required comprehensive space planning, M&E coordination and authority submissions.
Design strategy
- Clear functional zoning between production areas, event zones and support spaces.
- Open, unobstructed layouts for lighting set-ups, camera movement and stage arrangements.
- Vertical separation of noisy and quiet functions: public and event spaces on the lower floor, live-streaming studios on the upper floor.
One frame, three lighting settings. The backlit counter panel and the in-floor light lines change colour with each scene.
